In an attempt to assemble a board game of my own, I am struggling to find a place to purchase game pieces. Seeking a variety of colored wood or plastic tokens typical to the modern Euro game, I have turned to the TAGS membership for suggestions. Any ideas would be welcome -- thank you!

Are you assembling a Do-It-Yourself version of a published game (ahem! ACQUIRE!)

Or are you putting together a prototype of your own design?

It is my own design (hopefully).

Most of my bits for prototypes come from years of scavenging thrift stores. Some games you buy just because they have great parts for protos (dice, tiles, cards, pawns...)

I've ordered plastic, colored cubes from online stores that sell educational math manipulatives for kids. I don't have a specific site. Shouldn't be that hard to find one. I get a bucket of 1000 cubes for around $20, I think.

If you tell me exactly what you need I may be able to help.

I'm hoping to find a variety of wood pieces, at differing sizes, to include cubes, discs, pawns, and cylinders. Ships and people would also be exciting to find.

I think I have just found a pretty fantastic website for just about every piece I could have dreamed of. (http://www.spielmaterial.de/english5/) Though it is in Germany, so it may be a bit expensive to order/ship. I am still hunting for a comparable dealer here in the states, but their selection is fantastic.
